Eric Noble

Executive Director

 
Eric has been involved in full time camping ministry since 1996, starting out in maintenance and then working as the director of two Salvation Army camps in Southeast Wisconsin and South Central Indiana.  Eric and his family moved to California in the spring of 2007 and he took over as the director of Silver Spur in April of 2008.

Eric grew up in Minnesota (by way of Texas, Germany and Colorado) and married his wife, Karin, in 1991.  He holds a degree in Christian Education, Youth Ministry and Bible from Northwestern College, Roseville, MN.  Eric  loves hanging out with his three amazing kids, Berit, Grace and Sullivan, riding his Harley in the mountains and eating our camp chef’s delicious gourmet cheesecake.

Merilee Kerzich

Guest Services Coordinator

My early years were filled with family camping trips, exploring the wonderful museums and zoos that Chicago had to offer, and enjoying family-times at the lakes in northern Illinois and Wisconsin. After college, I moved to California with my husband and infant son. As our family grew with the addition of two beautiful daughters, God gave me the opportunity to be both a stay-at-home mom and run a successful daycare program.

The future brought additional career fields involving finance, insurance, and the travel industry. These skills paved the way to my position here at Silver Spur. My leisure time is divided up with home crafts and art, gardening, and reading. Traveling with my husband to visit our kids, grandkids, and seeing the beauty of God’s world bring great joy. I believe in Jesus’ love, the power of prayer, and using our talents for God’s Glory.

Karin Noble

Program Administrator

Besides being “The Director’s Wife,” Karin enjoys being a part of Silver Spur Camp’s Program Team since moving to California with her family in April of 2007. She grew up in the Midwest and served on the staff at camps in Wisconsin and Indiana, doing things from running the snack shop to staffing the office to teaching archery to leading a worship team.

Karin graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN with a BA in English Education. She loves drama, music, coffee, her church, and living on site eating camp food with her husband, three kids and two dogs.

Erin Hilliker

Program Coordinator & Outdoor Education

Erin graduated from Central Michigan University with B.A.A. in Outdoor Recreation and has been in camping in some form since 1999, and has been with Silver Spur since 2008.

She loves rock climbing, backpacking, & golfing with her husband. She also enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with her dog.

Erin is passionate about God and youth and loves using her talents to bring quality programs to Silver Spur, and campers closer to Christ.

Alan Hopp

Executive Chef

Alan has been the Executive Chef with Silver Silver Spur since 2004. He has been a resident of Tuolumne County since 1994, graduating from Columbia College in 1997.

He lives on site with his wife and two daughters, and loves back packing, swimming, fishing, and spending time with his family out in nature. Music is also a very important part of his life.

 
Alan loves raising his family here at Silver Spur, and actively gives back to his community at every opportunity.
